CAMBRIAN SCHOOL DISTRICT RELEASES
FIVE-YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN 2018-23
We are pleased to announce the Governing Board of Cambrian School District released a rigorous five-year Strategic Plan to guide decisions and set direction. The comprehensive Strategic Plan outlines five core goals to devise the areas of focus for greater student achievement and development.
“The Cambrian School District’s Strategic Plan will drive our continued focused work to prepare all students to excel in a global society,” noted Superintendent Dr. Carrie Andrews. “We developed the Strategic Plan with intentional staff, student and parent involvement to identify focus areas and actions for Cambrian School District.” Data from strategic planning sessions, Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) input sessions and surveys steered the way to the final Strategic Plan for the next five years.
The Cambrian School District Strategic Plan’s five goal areas include:
NEXT GENERATION STUDENT: The District will provide rigorous, highly engaging learning opportunities that will prepare all students to be successful global learners, contributors and leaders.
STUDENT LEARNING & ACHIEVEMENT: Every student will achieve. The District will provide and support engaging, high quality instruction that promotes active learning and achievement for all students. Achievement gaps will be eliminated.
RESOURCES: HUMAN & CAPITAL: Cambrian will develop and utilize fiscal resources and people to foster student achievement and District goals.
EXTENDED LEARNING: The District will develop and provide extended learning opportunities to foster achievement, intentional ways to close the achievement gap and increase all student success.
CAMBRIAN CULTURE & COMMUNITY: The District will promote a welcoming, transparent and inclusive environment for all parents, families and community stakeholders as partners in the education and support of all students’ success.
The Cambrian School District Strategic Plan will be available in January at the District Office and all Cambrian School sites in hard copy form.

California School Dashboard Updates Now Live
You may know that in March of this year the California Department of Education (CDE) released a new website designed to help communities across the state access important information about K–12 districts and schools. Called the California School Dashboard, the site features reports on multiple measures of school success, including test scores, graduation rates, English learner progress and suspension rates. The Dashboard is part of California's new school accountability system based on 2013's Local Control Funding Formula.
As you may know, the majority of our schools are structured as “dependent charter schools,” which allows us to welcome students from throughout our county, not just our district boundaries. The Dashboard currently lists all charter schools as separate entities, whether they are affiliated with a district or not. Complete aggregated data is not available for our district, and parents may need to follow an extra step to find their child's school. Click here to learn more and follow the instructions to find the data for your school.
