  • Preschool Survey

One of our student learning and achieving goals in the District Strategic Plan is for future Cambrian students to have access to high quality early education. Thus, comprehensive plans are being explored for providing a fee-based preschool to allow access and availability to early childhood pre-K services. Before a decision can be rendered, we'd like to assess the demand for this service within our District. Please take a moment to participate in Cambrian School District's Preschool survey. Your input is very important to us!

Online survey closes Wednesday, April 24th at 5 PM

  • Cambrian Received LEED Certification

    LEED award

Mr. Rick Kramer of Kramer Project Development Company, Inc., presented Cambrian with a Building Certification for energy and environmental design. LEED certification is the global standard for green design and sustainable buildings. LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is the most widely used third-party authentication system for green buildings. LEED provides facility owners and building operators with a holistic framework for designing, constructing and maintaining green buildings. The certification focuses on encouraging a more sustainable approach to the way buildings are designed, constructed and operated. (Rick Kramer, left, is joined by Board of Trustees member Doron Aronson and Randy Scofield)

We are pleased to announce the Governing Board of Cambrian School District released a rigorous five-year Strategic Plan to guide decisions and set direction. The comprehensive Strategic Plan outlines five core goals to devise the areas of focus for greater student achievement and development.

“The Cambrian School District’s Strategic Plan will drive our continued focused work to prepare all students to excel in a global society,” noted Superintendent Dr. Carrie Andrews. “We developed the Strategic Plan with intentional staff, student and parent involvement to identify focus areas and actions for Cambrian School District.” Data from strategic planning sessions, Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) input sessions and surveys steered the way to the final Strategic Plan for the next five years.

The Cambrian School District Strategic Plan’s five goal areas include:

next generation student NEXT GENERATION STUDENT: The District will provide rigorous, highly engaging learning opportunities that will prepare all students to be successful global learners, contributors and leaders.

  • California School Dashboard Updates Now Live

You may know that in March of this year the California Department of Education (CDE) released a new website designed to help communities across the state access important information about K–12 districts and schools. Called the California School Dashboard, the site features reports on multiple measures of school success, including test scores, graduation rates, English learner progress and suspension rates. The Dashboard is part of California's new school accountability system based on 2013's Local Control Funding Formula.

As you may know, the majority of our schools are structured as “dependent charter schools,” which allows us to welcome students from throughout our county, not just our district boundaries. The Dashboard currently lists all charter schools as separate entities, whether they are affiliated with a district or not. Complete aggregated data is not available for our district, and parents may need to follow an extra step to find their child's school. Click here to learn more and follow the instructions to find the data for your school.
