Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

  • As part of the Local Control Funding Formula, school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools are required to develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The LCAP describes how the district will spend the funds and its goals for improving student outcomes.

District Announcements

  • Now Enrolling

Spread the word! Students who live outside of the Cambrian School District boundaries have the opportunity to request to attend one of the four charter schools (Price, Fammatre, Farnham, and Sartorette) within the Cambrian School District.  We are always happy to welcome new students and families to our community, and our schools are a fantastic option for families looking warm, close-knit learning environments in a convenient location.

New this year: spots available in all grade levels at Price

More good news! Historically, Price has been unable to accept many charter students as the high-performing middle school is in great demand. This year, the school is able to welcome charter students in limited quantities. Price is distinguished by its rigorous and varied course options, caring staff and student community, and a wide array of student activities. Questions about the opportunities available at Price? Visit the school website.

Unlike the normal transfer process, families do not need to be "released" from their home district to attend one of the four schools listed above -- they simply need to complete the appropriate application paperwork.  Limited spots are available in all grade levels. Families can learn more about what makes our district the best environment to explore infinite possibilities for learning, then visit our Enrollment Page to get started. If you have any questions in regards to the enrollment process please feel free to contact Carlena Grandey, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent at 408-377-2103 extension 1103

  • California School Dashboard Updates Now Live

You may know that in March of this year the California Department of Education (CDE) released a new website designed to help communities across the state access important information about K–12 districts and schools. Called the California School Dashboard, the site features reports on multiple measures of school success, including test scores, graduation rates, English learner progress and suspension rates. The Dashboard is part of California's new school accountability system based on 2013's Local Control Funding Formula. New student achievement data from Spring 2017 will be available this Thursday, according to the CDE.

As you may know, the majority of our schools are structured as “dependent charter schools,” which allows us to welcome students from throughout our county, not just our district boundaries. The Dashboard currently lists all charter schools as separate entities, whether they are affiliated with a district or not. Complete aggregated data is not available for our district, and parents may need to follow an extra step to find their child's school. Click here to learn more and follow the instructions to find the data for your school.
