• Wordle Instructions
     
    Create a Wordle from the Lit Circle book you just finished along with a 10-15 sentence description. See more directions below:
    • Go to: www.wordle.net
    • Choose 15-20 Important words from the novel you just read. Do this in Word or another word processing program first and then cut and paste into the Wordle create window. You can also use the advanced feature to using weighted words.
    • Words that are more important in the story, input more times and they will be bigger in your finished Wordle the click Create
    • Add the finished Wordle to your Blog using the following instructions:
      • PC
        • Once you've created your Wordle, click Open in Window
        • To take a "picture" of the Wordle in a new window, hold down the Alt+Print Screen keys. This will copy the window onto the clipboard
        • Then open the Paint program from the Start menu - All Programs - Accessories
        • Once Paint is open, click on the Edit menu and then Paste
        • The Wordle window will then be pasted onto the Paint canvas. If you know how to crop the picture you can. Otherwise click on the File menu and Save As... Name the file and title of your book and save it as a GIF file. Remember where you saved the file.
        • Once saved, go into your blog program and insert the picture from where you saved it. Remember to include a 10-15 sentence description under the picture.
      • Mac
        • Once you've created your Wordle, click Open in Window
        • To take a "picture" of the Wordle in a new window, hold down the Shift+Command(Apple)+4 keys. This will create a crosshair on your screen.  Click and drag across the Wordle to select it.  
        • A copy of what you selected will automatically be placed on your desktop.
        • Now go into your blog program and insert the picture from your desktop.  
    • Make sure you include a 10-15 sentence description of your Wordle, detailing the important words you chose and the significance to the story
