Attention Families: Register for Free & Reduced Lunch before September 25th

Although we’re providing complimentary meals this year, we need those who would normally file for Free & Reduced Lunch to submit the form to ensure Sartorette gets vital Title I funding. The national government bases Title I academic funding on the number of students getting Free & Reduced Lunch at the school.

The online Alternative Household income application can be found at: Alternative Household income application. Here’s the PDF: Alternative Household income application

Based on Free/Reduced eligibility, this funding supports:

    • Title I funds - Counseling, intervention, and Reading/Math support

    • Title II funds - Professional Development for all staff

    • Title III funds - Immigration and English Learner students

    • Title IV funds - Middle School support for English Learners

    • Supplemental funds - Intervention, Teacher Aides, Counseling Services, Psychologist Services, Community Liaisons, Software Licenses for students, Teacher Instructional Support, and Instructional materials

Looking to Hire Supervision for Lunch and Recess

We can be flexible with days and times. Please consider this important paid, part-time position for yourself, and tell your family, friends, and neighbors. Call Sartorette at (408) 264-4380 or email Secretary Lori Zendejas at or Principal Debbie Stein at

  • Free Breakfast and Lunch for All Students

Cambrian School District is pleased to offer all students complimentary breakfast and lunch meals. Meals will be available for pickup in the cafeteria during scheduled meal periods. Please consider taking advantage of our FREE school meals. It extends your grocery budget, saves time planning and preparing meals, and is comforting and familiar for kids to have school meals. In addition, every meal served is reimbursed by the USDA and funds go toward Child Nutrition staff wages. Please note that you are not taking food away from someone who needs it more – we have plenty to go around!

  • Superintendent Update, July 26, 2021

Please review this important update from CSD Superintendent Kristi Schwiebert regarding an independent study option for families with students whose health would be put at risk by in-person instruction, as determined by the parent or guardian. She also includes valuable information about State Assembly Bill (AB) 104, which provides options for students and parents/guardians to address learning recovery needs. Please read this summary of the law as it relates to student retention for the 2021-2022 school year. Enjoy your final three weeks of summer vacation before our exciting school year begins.
