Welcome to Steindorf STEAM School

  •  Steindorf School originally opened to students on March 14th, 1955 and closed in June of 1979 due to declining enrollment. Recently, as Cambrian’s enrollment started increasing the vision of reopening Steindorf started to develop. Due to focused community efforts resulting in the passing of Measure I, the vision turned into reality for our students and community. Steindorf reopened August, 2016 as a kindergarten through eighth grade STEAM Magnet School and houses just under 500 students.

The students at Steindorf engage in an educational week that includes, but is not limited to:

    • STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics)
    • Project Based Learning through the integration of core curriculum
    • Learning that entails collaboration, cooperation, critical thinking and communication

Steindorf includes flexible learning classroom spaces that optimize a variety of learning opportunities.  A new Innovation Wing was built to encompass our K-8 Science Lab and Maker Space where students design, tinker and create.

Cambrian School District Board policy details the process for Intradistrict transfers to Steindorf STEAM School (section VII page 2).
