• Supports for Students With Disabilities

CSD Student Services Department continues to be in contact with the CDE related to expectations around IDEA and Section 504 requirements. It is important to know that, during this unprecedented time of school closure, CSD and districts across California and the nation may not be able to provide all services in the same manner they were typically provided in the traditional school setting. Students with disabilities that are instructed in the general curriculum are to utilize the tools at the appropriate grade level. Special education teachers and case managers will continue to collaborate with general education teachers and assist students with disabilities by providing support and accommodations, where reasonably feasible. For students with a Section 504 Plan, school case managers will collaborate with general education teachers and provide collaborative assistance so that these students have needed accommodations as reasonably feasible. Parents/guardians may contact their student’s case manager or school principal if they have any questions. If you have additional questions, please contact the Student Services Department for assistance.
