Mileage Club

  • Runner Mileage Club is an exercise incentive program that is run at lunchtime every Wednesdays.

Children are encouraged to walk, jog or run laps around Bagby’s field while adult volunteers mark off their lap card for each revolution.

At the end of the month, each child will receive a running foot trinket that can be put onto their Mileage Club Necklace, for every mile (4 laps) they have run.  The awards are designed to provide children with a sense of accomplishment, recognition and a source of positive image building.

Mileage Club is a great way to keep kids active and physically fit.  It gives them a reason to set an exercise goal for themselves, helps them make new friends, and most of all, gives them something to do with other people while not necessarily competing with, or against anyone.

If you are interested in being a parent volunteer at Mileage Club, please contact Smruti Kaplish. It is a fun and rewarding experience for both the students and for the parent volunteers.
