Background: I grew in the Evergreen area, attended San Jose State University, and currently reside in San Jose. This is year my 20th year at Price! Over the years, I have taught a 6th grade reading support class, 7th grade core, 7th grade accelerated core, 7th grade social studies, and 8th grade U.S. history. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, baking, reading, watching HGTV, and traveling.

Teaching Values:  As a middle school teacher, I am passionate and dedicated to the task of preparing my students for success in high school and beyond. I believe that all students have the right to learn and access to equal opportunities to give them the chance to grow academically and to become responsible citizens ready to participate in our world. Within our classroom, we work as a team to create an environment that is positive and built upon respect for our classmates and peers--one that values our diversity as a group, embraces our learning differences and styles, and challenges us to both learn from one another and to be our best. I encourage our team to learn from our challenges and mistakes while celebrating our successes and accomplishments. Frequently, we work with partners and in teams to learn how to collaborate with others, build and strengthen our social skills, to recognize and understand varying opinions and ideas, and to use our individual strengths to help our teams solve problems. Through our units of study, we work to learn about the world around us and make connections between ourselves and others to foster empathy, compassionate, and respect.
