Meet the Superintendent

Kristi Schwiebert, Superintendent

Ms. Schwiebert has served as Cambrian School District’s Assistant Superintendent of Personnel since 2019 and stepped in as Acting Superintendent in June 2021. She was officially appointed as the district’s permanent Superintendent by the Governing Board on December 16, 2021.

Ms. Schwiebert’s journey in Cambrian began in 2010 as Principal of Fammatre Elementary. Recognized for her strong leadership, she was selected to lead Steindorf K–8 Magnet School, starting one year prior to its opening. During that time, she played a key role in critical planning decisions — from facility design and classroom layout to curriculum development. After four successful years at Steindorf, she was promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Personnel.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Cal Poly and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from San José State University. A Cambrian neighborhood resident since 2001, Ms. Schwiebert has raised her family in the community she serves. She is a dedicated and visionary educational leader, deeply committed to educating the whole child and maintaining strong connections within the Cambrian School District.
