Title IX
The Cambrian School District is committed to ensuring gender equity on our campuses. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 - Gender Equity in Education, Athletics, Activities - is a federal law prohibiting gender discrimination.
The text of the law states:
No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
Know Your Rights: Title IX Prohibits Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Where You Go to School
