Parent Engagement & Involvement
Research shows that parent engagement in schools is closely linked to better student behavior, higher academic achievement, and enhanced social skills. The Board of Education recognizes that parents/guardians are their children's first and most influential teachers and that sustained parent involvement in the education of their children contributes greatly to student achievement and a positive school environment. Our goal is to work with staff, parents/guardians, and family members to jointly develop strategies to meaningfully engage and involve parents and family members at all grade levels.
Below are resources that parents can access to support their efforts to get engaged and involved in their child's education. We hope you find them helpful.
Parent University
The Cambrian School District is proud to collaborate with Fresno State Parent University to offer free online courses for our parent community. This innovative partnership focuses on building community capacity through engagement, involvement, and professional development. Through these courses, participants are empowered to explore new socioeconomic opportunities, equipping them with skills to contribute meaningfully to their families, schools, communities, and beyond. Together, we are fostering a stronger, more resilient community.
Registration for Spring 2025 courses (starting in February and March) are now open for registration. For more detail information about the courses and how to register, please click on the following resources below:
