CSD Multilingual Learner Program
The goal of the Multilingual Learner Program in the Cambrian School District is to support English Learner (EL) students to rapidly develop grade-level English language proficiency by providing expert methodologies, research-based curriculum, and additional instructional time to practice these new skills.
CSD English Learner Master Plan
Our District English Learner Master Plan (ELMP) is designed to support the success of all English learners (ELs) in our schools. We are committed to ensuring that every EL has the opportunity to achieve English language proficiency as quickly as possible through high-quality English language instruction and support in academic subjects.
The goals of Cambrian SD ELMP include:
- English Proficiency: Helping ELs meet or exceed state standards on English language assessments by providing effective language instruction.
- Academic Success: Ensuring that all ELs thrive academically, regardless of their English proficiency level, by offering tailored support across all subjects.
- Closing the Achievement Gap: Providing extra assistance to help ELs catch up with their native English-speaking peers.
- Inclusive School Environment: Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where ELs feel valued and part of the school community.
- Parent and Community Partnerships: Building strong relationships with parents and community members by involving them in the development and implementation of the ELMP.
