Developer Fees Support Our Schools

As new development generates students, additional school facilities or the modernization of existing facilities will be needed to accommodate them. Because of the high cost associated with constructing school facilities and the District’s limited budget, outside funding sources are required for future school construction. State and local funding sources for the construction and/or reconstruction of school facilities are limited.

The Cambrian School District Governing Board approved an increase to the statutory school facility fee (“Level I Fee”) for new residential and commercial/industrial development, consistent with the rate established by the State Allocation Board. This action was taken at the Board meeting on April 21, 2026. The updated fee will help support the construction of school facilities needed to serve students generated by new development. The new developer fee rates will take effect on June 21, 2026.
