Education Protection Account (EPA)
The Education Protection Account (EPA) was created by Proposition 30 (and later extended by Proposition 55). It is funded by temporary tax increases on higher-income earners in California to ensure that schools have a stable, reliable source of money.
The Cambrian School District directs 100% of these funds toward teacher salaries and benefits. This ensures that the money goes directly into the classroom to support student learning.
