The purpose of the Committee is to review and evaluate real property owned by the Cambrian School District to determine whether any assets may be designated as “excess” or “surplus” based on the District’s current and future educational needs.

The Committee will analyze relevant data, consider long-term enrollment projections and program requirements, and identify properties that are not necessary for school purposes.

Following its review, the Committee will prepare and present a report to the Board of Trustees with recommendations regarding the potential use or disposition of any surplus property, including options such as sale, lease, or other appropriate arrangements.

All meetings, proceedings, and deliberations of the Committee are open to the public in accordance with applicable transparency laws.

Note: Given the District’s ongoing fiscal challenges, leasing the Sartorette campus is the District’s preferred option, as it has the potential to generate ongoing revenue that can support educational programs and services for students.

If you would like to be added to the Sartorette 7-11 Committee Information communication list to receive updates throughout the process leading up to the Governing Board of Trustees’ consideration of the Sartorette property on June 18, 2026, please email Carlena Grandey at grandeyc@cambriansd.com.
