Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

As part of the Local Control Funding Formula, school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools are required to develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The LCAP describes how the district will spend the funds and its goals for improving student outcomes.

 Bagby's Planned Multi-Use Room
Wonderful news! The Cambrian SD Governing Board has approved moving forward with a revised plan for the Bagby Multi-Use Project, one of three proposals submitted to bring costs within the Board’s allotted budget and allow the district to proceed with the project.  The new plan makes adjustments to the budget for roofing, flooring and the outdoor area around the site, but preserves the structure’s canopy to retain flexible outdoor space.  Please watch this space for future updates, including opportunities to provide input, as the project progresses, and thank you for your ongoing support.

 Cambrian TK Is Growing!

We are pleased to share some very exciting news about the future of Cambrian's Transitional Kindergarten program. Due to popular demand, Bagby and Farnham will both house their own TK classes starting in 2017-18, allowing more families to take advantage of early learning at their home school. This move will help keep siblings together, cut down on family commute times, and give students an early introduction to the school communities where they will spend much of their childhood. If you have an eligible child and would like to take advantage of our expanding program, we are still accepting TK students for enrollment! More information and all enrollment forms can be found here.

New CDE Data Dashboard Launched -- Find CSD Student Data Quickly and Easily

California is field testing a new website designed to help communities across the state access important information about K–12 districts and schools – including ours. Called the California School Dashboard (Coming March 2017), the site features easy-to-read reports on multiple measures of school success, including test scores, graduation rates, English learning progress and suspension rates.

Please Note:

As you may know, the majority of our schools are structured as “dependent charter schools,” which allows us to welcome students from throughout our county, not just our district boundaries. The Dashboard currently lists all charter schools as separate entities, whether they are affiliated with a district or not. As a result, a search in the Dashboard for “Cambrian School District” only brings up information for Bagby Elementary. To see other school site information, simply use the search bar and enter the name of the site. (Note also that there is no data for Steindorf, as the school is in its first year of operation).

  • Steindorf Caps Off First Year with STEAM Fair

Steindorf students dazzled visitors at last night's STEAM fair, an event like a science fair dialed all the way up to 11! Students picked a STEAM subject to focus on (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math) and developed capstone projects for presentation to the public; the presentations varied from robots, to video game models, to beautiful art work to cooking lessons. Students were on hand to answer questions about their work or demonstrate their inventions. Congrats to students and staff alike on a remarkable evening!

  • Price Students Donate $10,000 for Hydration Stations

At last night's board meeting, Price students Sarah Shaw and Cassie Kwan presented a proposal on behalf of the Leadership Class to donate more than $10,000 for the installation of two new hydration stations at the school. The stations serve as sensor-activated water bottle fillers and drinking fountains, such as those already installed at Sartorette and Steindorf. Leadership students decided to fund this project after breaking sales records at their student store thanks to the additional of whole-fruit popsicles and popcorn. Next year, all Cambrian schools will have hydration stations installed; because of the generosity and foresight of these Price students, the middle school will now have three to support its larger student body.
