Winston Churchill once stated that "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." This is both true and thought-provoking. To this end I would like you to choose a service learning project to complete and share with your classmates. You may want to volunteer at an animal shelter, create a recycling program for your neighborhood, volunteer clearing a trail with Scouts if you are a Scout, or one of the many ideas for community service we will discuss in class.Let me know via email to huntr@cambriansd.com or with a hand-written or typed, detailed note if you have an idea you wish to run by me before you get started. Make sure to be polite as you represent both yourself as well as Price Middle School when out serving your community.Best wishes! -Mr. HuntPS One of the surest ways out of sadness is to bring cheer to another person. All of us face challenges at times. A related quote when times are difficult- each of us always have the choice during hard times to either "Light a candle or curse the darkness." So let's all light candles!
