FOSS (Full-Option Science System) is a research-based science curriculum for grades K—8 developed at the Lawrence Hall of Science, University of California, Berkley. FOSS is also an ongoing research project dedicated to improving the learning and teaching of science.

At Sartorette, we teach the Next Generation Science Standards taught through the FOSS curriculum. Through this curriculum, students are participating in hands on investigations.

    Science Fair

science fair To end every school year with a bang, Sartorette holds a Science Fair in May! The Science Fair is an event to allow students to pursue a personal interest in science and express some newly learned knowledge through a science project.  It is meant to be a fun and productive learning experience. This project is optional for kindergarten-3rd grade students, and mandatory for 4th-5th grade students. Ask your teacher if you want more information.
