What is a Charter School?
Charter schools in Cambrian are not the same as other traditional charter schools.
Staring in July of 2002, Cambrian School District began voting and approving some of our schools to become a dependent charter public school. Creating dependent charter public schools allowed the District flexibility in the area of enrollment of students and allow options for individuals living outside the District’s attendance boundaries to be educated in Cambrian if they choose. Currently, Cambrian enrolls 15% of its students from outside the District boundaries.
All Cambrian Charter Schools are governed by the Cambrian School District Board of Education and follow the same educational philosophy, standards, and programs as the rest of the schools in our district.
The four (4) Charter Schools:
♦ Fammatre Elementry School: Preschool to 5th grade
♦ Farnham Elementary School: Transitional Kindergarten to 5th grade
♦ Sartorette Elementary School: Transitional Kindergarten to 5th grade
♦ Price Middle School: 6th-8th grade
