General Testing Information from the State of California for all California residents: The CAASPP System is intended to provide parents and students more accurate and actionable information about what students are learning.Smarter Balanced Assessments for English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics - The ELA and Math SBAC tests are computer adaptive and based on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Cambrian 3rd - 8th grade students participate in these summative assessments. Students assigned to take an alternative assessment take the California Alternate Assessment.California Science Test (CAST) - CAST is an online test based on the California Next Generation Science Standards. Cambrian 5th and 8th grade students only participatie bin the CAST tests. Smarter Balanced Assessments of California (SBAC) Practice TestsThis link accesses both the Practice and Training Tests portal. The Practice Tests provide students with grade-specific testing experiences that are similar in structure and format to the Summative Assessments. The Training Tests provide students with the opportunity to quickly become familiar with the software and interface features. The Training Tests are organized by grade-bands (e.g., 3–5). 2016-2017 Individual Student Score Reports for Cambrian School District Students Individual student score reports for the 2016-2017 Smarter Balanced Assessment for California (SBAC) Tests in ELA and Math Grades 3-8 were mailed out the week of August 7, 2017.
