LCAP Information

Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

As part of the Local Control Funding Formula, school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools are required to develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The LCAP describes how the district will spend the funds and its goals for improving student outcomes.

Notice of Change in Venue for Board Meetings:
Regularly scheduled meetings for the Cambrian School District Governance Board will be held at Farnham Elementary School on the First and Third Thursday of each month unless otherwise noted. Farnham is located at 15711 Woodard Drive.

Homework Policy:
In accordance with Governing Board Policy and Procedure 6154, all schools in the Cambrian School District have developed a Homework Policy. You will find a link to your school’s homework policy from the “Site Shortcuts” app on the right side of their Homepage. You may also request a copy from your school site. If you have any questions regarding the homework policy, please contact your child’s teacher.

GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) Information:
We will not be testing 2nd-grade students for GATE this year. Because state testing no longer begins in 2nd-grade, GATE testing will now be conducted during the 3rd-grade. We will begin testing third graders in the winter of 2016. Students will not be identified until fourth grade. GATE identification will be based on Smarter Balanced results, teacher recommendation, and GATE testing results. You can find out more information about Cambrian School District’s Gate Services at
