Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

Cambrian School District's Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) 2015 - 18 

As part of the Local Control Funding Formula, school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools are required to develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The LCAP describes how the district will spend the funds and its goals for improving student outcomes. 

California State Standards

Good news! The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) test results for the 2014-2015 school year is available for public viewing.   Read Smarter Balanced News Release Letter to Families.  For more information, see CAASPP test results.
Implementing the California State Standards is a key component of Cambrian School District’s Strategic Plan.

District Announcements

 New Professional Development Center Opens and

New Location for Board Meetings
We are excited to announce the grand unveiling of our new Professional Development Center for learning is officially open. Starting Thursday, February 4, 2016 all Governing Board meetings will now take place at the Professional Development Center which is located at our District Office.  A special thank you to Farnham Elementary School for hosting the Board Meetings the past year while the new Professional Development Center was being built. The location is at 4115 Jacksol Avenue, San Jose, CA 95124 for all future Board Meetings.

 Open Enrollment for current Cambrian Students (Intradistrict Transfers) January 12 – March 1st, 2016:
If you are a current Cambrian Student you have the opportunity to request movement to Steindorf or any other school starting Tuesday, January 12, 2016. Intradistrict Transfer Form can be picked up from your current school now or download from our enrollment page. Drop off the completed form starting on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Cambrian School District office, Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM-4:30 PM.  

 Steindorf K-8 STEAM Magnet School Information Meeting

We are excited that Steindorf K-8 STEAM School will be opening the fall of 2016. In preparation for the re-opening Dr. Andrews, Cambrian Superintendent, and Kristi Schwiebert, Steindorf Principal will be hosting a parent informational meeting.

 Cambrian Commemorates Solar Energy Project
On September 29th Cambrian School District held a celebratory event to commemorate the completion of the Districtwide Solar Energy Project at Ida Price Middle School. Thank you to the Cambrian community for supporting the passing of Measure I in June of 2014, which has made this renewable energy project possible. Please CLICK HERE for more information.

Steindorf  S.T.E.A.M. School Groundbreaking Ceremony
The Cambrian School District held a historical ground breaking ceremony on Thursday, August 20th 2015 to honor the reopening of Steindorf STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) School (K-8), set to reopen August of 2016. Cambrian School District is excited to offer a school of choice for all of our students.
