Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

As part of the Local Control Funding Formula, school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools are required to develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The LCAP describes how the district will spend the funds and its goals for improving student outcomes.

California State Standards

The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) test results for the 2014-2015 school year is available for public viewing.  For more information, see CAASPP test results.
Implementing the California State Standards is a key component of Cambrian School District’s Strategic Plan.

New Professional Development Center
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Steindorf  S.T.E.A.M. School Groundbreaking Ceremony
The Cambrian School District held a historical ground breaking ceremony on Thursday, August 20th 2015 to honor the reopening of Steindorf STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) School (K-8), set to reopen August of 2016. Cambrian School District is excited to offer a school of choice for all of our students. Join us for the First Annual Cambrian Schools Fun Run Sunday, August 21!

The First Annual Cambrian Schools Fun Run is a day of community wellness and celebration (co-sponsored by our friends at the San Jose City Council).On Sunday, August 21, the Fun Run will kick off the new school year as we jog, walk, skip and jump through our beautiful neighborhood together. We’ll simply take a day to focus on wellness, community engagement and making new friends. Once you cross the finish line, stay to play and enjoy our wellness fair! Register now or learn more!

Summer Programming in session

Beginning Monday, June 27, Cambrian School District Summer Programming will begin and remain in session until Friday, July 22. Please see below for your child's daily schedule:

 Extended Year Services:
8:15 a.m.-11:45 p.m.
ELEVATE and Summer Acceleration:
 8:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Modified Summer Schedule for District Office

The Cambrian School District Office will be operating on a modified schedule for the duration of the summer. Beginning the week of June 27, the district office will be closed for lunch from 12-1 p.m., and closed all day every Friday until Friday, August 5.

STEAM Academy 2016 at Ida Price

CSD Summer STEAM Academy 2016 is now is session.  Session 1 is currently taking place for the week of July 5-8 (Forensic Science & World Percussions).  Session 2 will begin on July 11-15 (Forensic Science & Robotics) and Session 3 will run from July 18-22 (Forensic Science & Art).  All sessions are held at Price Middle School from 8:15am - 12:15pm.  For schedules, fees and a taste of what students will explore this summer, check out our program flyer.  Questions regarding the Summer STEAM Academy, please contact Anne Liewer at liewera@cambriansd.org.

Students who live outside of the Cambrian School District boundaries have the opportunity to request to attend one of the four charter schools (Price, Fammatre, Farnham, and Sartorette) within the Cambrian School District. Limited spots are available in all grade levels.   • Welcome Mrs. Gioco and Mrs. Brown!

    Last night, the Board of Trustees officially appointed Mrs. Sara Brown as Price Middle School's new Assistant Principal, and Mrs. Natalie Gioco as Price's new Principal! Mrs. Gioco has over 19 years' experience in school administration and classroom teaching at the elementary, middle, high school and adult education level. Mrs. Brown also brings nearly two decades of experience in education to her new role, having served as guidance counselor for 1,480 students at Kennedy Middle School for the past twelve years and taught both elementary and middle grades prior to that. Please join us in welcoming these two outstanding leaders to Cambrian School District!

  • Meet the Steindforf Stampede!

    Steindorf STEAM School's new logo and mascot, the Steindorf Stampede, was officially unveiled at last night's board meeting, presented by student artist Maggie Garcia and Principal Kristi Schwiebert. Dozens of students participated in a contest to design the new mascot, and Maggie's Stallion design tied with Christopher Fredrick's STEAM Knight. The two students collaborated with Price Art Teacher Carrie Lyons-Lao to create a design that merged both visions and exemplifies the spirit of the new school.

  • Welcome Mujtaba Rauf, new Director of Informational Technology

    We are delighted to announce Mr. Mujtaba Rauf as Cambrian’s new Director of Informational Technology! Mr. Rauf has more than twelve years of experience in the IT industry and public school sector. For the past six years, he has worked in New Haven School District where his department supports 800+ staff members and 20,000 technology devices. Mujtabe also holds a BA and Master’s Degree in Computer Science. Please join us in welcoming him to the Cambrian SD community!

    Dozens of students, friends and family came out yesterday for the Cambrian Future Film Makers Festival at Ida Price Middle School, a showcase of student work created throughout the year in the Digital Drama class. The festival offered comedies, dramas, documentaries and even live singing performances! For a taste of the event, click through for a link to the festival trailer.

    Congratulations to Cambrian's ACSA Volunteer of the Year Cyndi Castro, who has distinguished herself as a true leader at Sartorette Elementary Schools by organizing major student and staff events, coordinating the production of the yearbook, and sharing her positive attitude with the entire school community!

  • Congrats to Lydia Shrader and Sarah Payne, Cambrian Employees of the Year!

    It's official! We are proud to share with our community Cambrian's Classified and Certificated Employees of the Year! Classified EOY Lydia Shrader handles Accounts Payable, Purchasing and Attendance at our district office, where she had worked for 18 years. Certificated Employee of the Year Sarah Payne teaches 4th grade at Bagby, where she is also the PBIS Lead and even composed a theme song for the school! Congrats to both of these remarkable ladies who do incredible things for our students each and every day!

    Congratulations to Paige Knudson, who was honored yesterday as Price Middle School's Student Leader of the Year by the Association of California School Administrators! One student at each middle and high school in the region receives the award each year in recognition of exemplary maturity, responsibility and dedication to the school community. Bravo!

  • Board passes resolution supporting strong start early education initiative

    The Governing Board passed a resolution at the April 20th Board Meeting in support of the countywide Strong Start initiative, a coalition of community leaders, early education providers, nonprofit organizations and other key stakeholders who are committed to expanding access to high quality early learning opportunities for all children age 0 to 8 in Santa Clara County.   • Trustees welcome new Student Services Director & Farnham Principal

    At the April 20th Board Meeting, the Governing Board eagerly greeted, unanimously approved and welcomed Mrs. Darlene Norman as our new Director of Student Services. Mrs. Norman brings a wealth of practical leadership experience both in special education and student services. In addition, Mr. Matt Hill was appointed as Principal of Farnham Elementary School for the 2016-17 School Year. Mr. Hill has been in Cambrian for the past 10 years as a teacher leader, assistant principal at Price Middle School and soon to be the principal at Farnham. Cambrian School District is fortunate to have both supporting students, staff and our community.

  • Staff and students dazzle at Price Open House

    The Annual Price Middle School Open House brought hundreds of students, families and staff together to celebrate each other and student growth over the past school year. The evening began with a barbecue hosted by the energetic Price staff, who served over 600 hot dogs to their hungry guests! It was a wonderful evening for students to proudly share their work and learning with others. Well done, Price students!
