Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

As part of the Local Control Funding Formula, school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools are required to develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The LCAP describes how the district will spend the funds and its goals for improving student outcomes.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Internet Safety Community Meeting on Monday night. Weren't able to make it or eager to learn more? Additional resources are available at the ICAC Task Force website.

 AED Training Keeps Students Safe

Throughout the month of October, our friends at Racing Hearts are conducting trainings for Cambrian staff to learn how to use the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices that have been installed at all school sites, as well as the district offices. These trainings help ensure that in the event of an emergency, personnel are prepared to respond and protect the safety of our students, staff and parents.

Welcome to 2016-17!

  • Happy 60th Birthday, Farnham!

Today Farnham students, staff and families celebrated the 60th anniversary of the school's founding in 1956. Members of the Farnham family were present, and the festivities included 50s-style costumes, the unveiling of some commemorative artifacts and an aerial photo of the student body in the shape of a giant 60. Congrats Farnham-- here's to another 60 wonderful years!

Every day in Cambrian we are dedicated and united for all students. As Thanksgiving quickly approaches, it is important to me to take a moment to reflect and recognize students, staff, families and our community for the work we do together. • Cambrian Schools rock the vote

The votes have been tallied and the winner decided-- at least in Cambrian Schools! Price and Steindorf collaborated on a mock election to give students practice voting well in advance of their 18th birthdays. The results? Clinton won with a landslide 523 electoral college votes and 68.5% of the popular vote; Trump earned 15 electoral votes and 14.9% of the popular (third party candidates earned a combined 16.5% of the popular vote). Students also voted in favor of the school bond Prop 51, the Prop 62 death penalty repeal, the Prop 63 ammunition and gun regulations, and voted in favor of Campbelle Union High School District's Measure AA to fund school repairs. Grown-ups, make sure your voice is heard today, as well! Polls close at 8pm!

  • Food for Thought at the Conversation on Learning

Our Conversation on Learning took place Thursday evening, an annual opportunity for students, parents and community members to interface directly with school leaders to reflect upon and discuss the future of our district. Everyone has a chance to discuss their hopes for Cambrian, but the stars of the show are definitely the students, who are able to speak firsthand about what they value in their school experience, and the direction they'd like to see their schools take. Thanks to everyone who participated!
